OUR Entrepid Network – Introducing Tim Ryan and His Very Personal Mission to Save Opiate Addicts

www.amirf.org

The U.S. is experiencing a heroin pandemic. Half of all heroin addicts die!

Drawing on personal experience, Tim Ryan was inspired to launch A Man in Recovery, whose mission is to save the lives of opiate addicts first, then provide new alternatives to keep addicts from relapsing.

Sentenced to seven years in prison, Tim Ryan got clean and sober behind bars. However, “life on the outside” wasn’t working in his favor. Tim was released from prison after just 14 months, yet his time there was enough to convince him to adopt a strong 12-step recovery program. But six months later, his 20-year-old son Nick died tragically from a heroin overdose. Attempting to get beyond the devastation and heartbreak, Tim used Nick’s death as the inspiration to spread a message of hope and recovery to others.

AMIR serves addicts and those whose lives they touch in new and effective ways.

“Dope Man follows Tim Ryan, an ex-con and former addict … who lost his son to heroin and nearly died from it himself.” “Tim’s unforgiving in-your-face approach, as well as his commitment to placing people into meaningful long-term treatment, has singled him out nationally … as one of the most effective experts in his field”
